Todd Roberts

Todd C. Roberts has spent 30 years signing, developing, and breaking artist careers in America.

He started as an A&R intern at Capitol Records, then became Editor of Urb, the Los Angeles magazine that put early covers on The Fugees, DJ Shadow, and The Chemical Brothers. He moved to the record business, as VP of A&R at Virgin Records, eventually being promoted to Head of A&R at Astralwerks in New York, working with Fatboy Slim, Phoenix, Jaques Lu Cont, and Basement Jaxx.

Back in Los Angeles, he managed artists in the Low End Theory scene and was Executive Producer of the Grammy-nominated Verve Remixed series for Verve/Impulse, overseeing remixes from Diplo, Danger Mouse, and The Postal Service. Executive roles followed at C3 Management and the Windish Agency (now Wasserman). He managed Nosaj Thing, Bassnectar and a young Oliver Tree, helping them to strategically build their careers. Most recently, he was VP of A&R at MNRK Music Group, where he launched the company's publishing division and its producer/songwriter division — including work on songs for Fred Again.. (Grammy-winning), charlieonnafriday (US Top 20), and KX5, the biggest record at US dance radio in 2022. He signed Delilah Montagu and developed Elk Darling, OK NIKO and songwriter Seth Reger.

Today he runs Amour Fou Music, his independent company for artist development, A&R, and rights management, where he manages songwriter-producers, releases records, and works daily with record labels, artist managers, distributors, and publishers.
