Joshua ‘Satch’ Satchell has played songs, and written new ones, all over the world. From performing at prestigious festivals (Glastonbury, Reeperbahn, The Great Escape), to writing with artists across the US and Europe, this songsmith is a creative force.
2023 saw SATCH headline the first ever trans stage at Pride in London, before the release of his debut album - ‘Present in the Post’. Signed to Catalyst Music Publishing, he now focuses on writing with breakthrough acts to Grammy award winners. Often referred to as a swiss army knife of genre, as a lyric expert Satch has cuts ranging from Eurovision, to Hip-Hop, to Pop, to country.
He is the co-chair of the LGBTQIA+ Council for The Ivors, and runs his own songwriting brand - SongTeller. Satch is recognised as a lyric expert after years lecturing in songcraft and creative process, up to masters level at multiple universities in the UK.
His masters research was in 'Sharing stories in songwriting - vulnerably and authentically - breaking down barriers of prejudice'.
