Deb Fenstermacher is a music strategist and artist development consultant with more than 20 years of experience working across artist management, major labels and the independent music ecosystem.
Throughout her career, Deb has worked closely with artists, managers, labels and creative teams across every stage of an artist’s journey, from early development and positioning through releases, audience growth, marketing strategy and long-term career building.
Her approach sits at the intersection of artist development, creative strategy and modern music marketing. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all campaign playbook, Deb helps artists identify the thing that is uniquely theirs.. their story, point of view, creative world and connection with an audience and then builds practical strategy around it.
In an era of constant content, changing algorithms and an increasingly oversaturated music landscape, Deb is particularly interested in helping artists and teams distinguish between what they could be doing and what they actually should be doing.
Consulting sessions can cover everything from artist positioning and release strategy to social/content direction, audience development, team structure, label and management conversations, career crossroads, or simply taking a step back and figuring out what comes next.
Deb’s goal is to provide artists and their teams with an experienced outside perspective, clear actionable feedback, and a space to get into the weeds of both the creative and business sides of building a sustainable career.

“Being dropped doesn’t get easier, and I’ve had my fair share. But l’ve worked on my self esteem slowly over the years and this knock was a light knock (I only allow 1 day of ugly crying now haha). Through this process I’ve now finally found the management and project management team of my dreams Happy Home Music and through that I’ve had the confidence to soft launch my own independent label Her Own Recordings at the end of this year with our first release, ‘Church’.” - Lapsley (NME)
