His experience helps clients explore the complicated connections between work, identity, ambition, and self-worth with someone who understands their professional landscape.
David’s therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology, tailoring his approach to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals. He helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, burnout, perfectionism, performance anxiety, creative blocks, imposter syndrome, and life transitions.
Although creative professionals are a particular focus of his practice, David welcomes people from all walks of life. Across his work, his goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, reconnect with what matters, and build more fulfilling personal and professional lives.
David lives in Culver City with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, warm-water oceans, hiking, surfing, and sharing a great meal with family and friends.

Having never been to therapy before I guess I didn't really realize what it was going to be. I thought David would just advise me, like advice from a friend. But it was so much more professional than that. David is very smart and gentle and he guided me to my own assessments of myself. This was great because instead of thinking what would David say, I really began to know what I would say of myself and it was very empowering and helped me through my own struggles. I'm very happy with David.
David brings an effective mix of wisdom, heart, and life experience to sessions. He’s insightful, seeing things from perspectives I hadn’t previously considered. He’s solution-oriented, but not at the expense of process and introspection. I can’t recommend him enough.
David has been one of the most consistently grounding and insightful voices in my professional and personal life for years now. Could not recommend him more, particularly for creatives.
