Within eight years as a music journalist, editorial director and chief reporter, Dan is among the most productive music publicity specialists.
Dan has started his career in the university years. While gaining the degree in Linguistics and Literature, he began writing for then-local and soon-international online, printed publications including Louder Than War, Maximumrocknroll, Punk Globe, XSNoize, JoyZine, Metalegion; was a part of the editorial team of Metal Addicts. And in 2016 took a position of the chief reporter at Moscow’s biggest rock-centric FM-station, Radio Ultra.
In 2020, Dan moved to doing publicity and became an in-house publicist of Ohm Resistance representing a large cataglogue of artist – from Mick Harris and Bill Laswell to Merzbow. Under his tenure, the independent label developed global campaigns and hosted premieres via BBC, collaborated with publications like The Wire and DJ Mag.
At the end of 2020, Dan came up with the concept of a company that would satisfy the needs of both his friends and artists of all caliber and sizes. That’s how Discipline PR was born, with Dan taking the roles of a founder and CEO. Originally based in the state of New Hampshire, the company currently operates worldwide under Dan’s strong leadership covering online, printed outlets. As well as providing radio promotional services, book publicity and hosting special events – including London’s Raw Power festival and Milwaukee’s Caterwaul Festival. In addition to many of these, Discipline PR had a honor to represent the Rozz Williams estate providing PR support to the release of the documentary movie on artists’ life – ‘Rozz Williams: Romeo’s Distress’.
