Through running my own management company, TAPE Music Company based in London and Margate, over the past 15 years I have learned how to develop close relationships with my clients as well as multitask and keep up with the ever changing music business landscape. During my 12 years as a director of a music consultancy, Record-Play based in London, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Berlin, I developed an understanding of working with brands and multinational companies delivering a wide variety of campaigns, focusing primarily on sync, product launches and digital activations. I have been a country manager for a global distribution company, Phonofile based in London, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen, over a 3 year period where I got an understanding of how businesses can scale using tech. I studied a BAhons in Digital Media at the University of Arts London, where I learned all about storytelling and design across digital multimedia. Before all of this I started in the music industry as a club and talent booker for 5 years at venues such as 93 Feet East, Big Chill and more. Over the past couple of years I have been mentoring for She Said So, Pie Factory Music and Keychange as well as doing various music business lectures at universities and charities.
I listen closely to the artist — their goals, challenges, ideas, and reflections on how they work with others. Whether they have a team in place or are still building one, understanding how they collaborate with partners, labels, agents, or external teams helps me shape a strategy that fits their reality. These insights inform how I can best support them and what direction might help them thrive creatively and professionally.
