Charlie is a UK-born songwriter, singer, guitarist and music coach based just outside Berlin. Since his 2005 signing with EMI Music Publishing, he’s been weaving his songwriting magic with a range of artists from Simply Red and Melanie C to Marco Mengoni, Michael Patrick Kelly, LEA and Michael Schulte among others.
Charlie’s diverse portfolio includes crafting memorable tunes for big brands like Nivea and Audi Quattro. He’s dipped his toes into everything from penning a World Cup anthem for a German TV channel to co-producing the theme song for a Thomas the Tank Engine movie. His work spans genres and borders, reflecting a versatile and global musical influence.
Charlie loves mentoring new talents and helping artists get their songs over the finishing line. Whether you need sharper lyrics, stronger structure, or a co-writer to push your ideas further, he brings two decades of real-world experience into the creative process. He is passionate about sharing his experience in songwriting - having taken on teaching and mentoring roles at BIMM, LCCM and The Songwriting Academy and is excited to share what he’s learned and watch artists grow and find their unique voices.
