With more than 12 years as a team leader at Spotify and Deezer, Carlos Ardila is among the most knowledgeable music streaming specialists in Latin America.
Carlos began his music industry career envisioning and developing his university's radio station from scratch. In 2012 he joined Deezer as one of the first hires in Latam, in charge of the music team for the Andean Region. Under his tenure, Deezer became the leading DSP in Colombia, and accelerated the international careers of local staples such as KAROL G, Manuel Turizo and Feid (Deezer Next alumni).
In 2017 he moved to a similar role at Spotify, where his content strategy rapidly placed Colombia at the forefront of music export. J Balvin, Shakira and Blessd (Spotify Radar alumni) were among the many local artists that made part of Spotify's global campaigns, spearheaded by Carlos during his 8 years there.
Today, Carlos is a music strategy consultant working with artists, labels and distributors, focusing on streaming growth in Latam and applying the knowledge and experience that comes from developing countless tracks on the DSP side.
